Nevada’s Largest Film Festival, the 16th Annual Dam Short Film Festival will be held February 13-16, 2020, in beautiful and historic Boulder City, Nevada. DSFF will feature 146 short films of varied style, subject, and origin.
Believing that the short film is a unique and valuable art form, the Dam Short Film Festival aims to seek out original, unusual, and entertaining short films from around the world.
Program blocks will include Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Animation, Sci-Fi/Horror, Music Video, Student, and Nevada Filmmaker. Films from all years are invited to submit, a rare thing among festivals.
The Festival will feature an Awards Party, Filmmaker Meet-and-Greet, 16th Year Dam Mixer, and other events.
The Dam Short Film Festival was named Best Local Film Festival in Desert Companion Magazine’s 2019 Best of the City Awards and we are very proud to be one of the Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals in the World (out of over 8,000), according to the leading festival submission website, FilmFreeway.
Boulder City, home of the Hoover Dam, is 25 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and only four hours from Los Angeles. Screenings will be held at the beautiful restored 400-seat Boulder Theatre, located in the charming downtown of Boulder City.
Selected filmmakers will receive access to all screenings, parties and events, and will receive fine swag and hotel rooms. Eleven one-of-a-kind awards will be awarded.
