Hannibal Buress Starts the New Year Off on a Funny Note


Smash Magazine presents comedy superstar Hannibal Buress as he brings his flair for all things funny to Downtown Las Vegas at Fremont Country Club (601 E. Fremont St.) on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017.  Doors open at 9 p.m. with the show beginning at 10 p.m. Tickets are $31 in advance or day of show, prices do not include service charges. Hannibal Buress is a wildly popular comedian, writer and actor who is a favorite of fans and critics on big and small screens alike. With his first national theatre standup comedy tour sold out and The New York Timeslauding him as one of the most ‘supremely gifted and respected’ comics around, Hannibal is emerging as a comedy superstar. His third hour standup special “Comedy Camisado” is currently streaming on Netflix. He is also a cast member on Comedy Central’s hit series “Broad City,” as well as the co-host of Adult Swim’s “The Eric Andre Show.” Buress is a favorite on the late-night circuit and has written for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” as well as “30 Rock.” He recently appeared in the comedy feature “Daddy’s Home” alongside Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, wrapped “Baywatch” for Paramount studios and the film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” for Sony and Marvel. He also lent his voice to the animated films “The Secret Life of Pets” and “Angry Birds.” He will be starting his world-wide tour The Hannibal Montanable Experience in fall 2016.



Fremont Country Club is the new state-of-the-art 800-capacity concert venue at 601 E. Fremont St. in the Fremont East Entertainment District of downtown Las Vegas. The 8,300-square-foot facility will feature everything from blues rock to indie bands and will have live shows three-to-four nights a week. The decor, Tex-Mex with a tinge of swanky chic, features cow-skin ceilings, antler chandeliers and chrome horseshoes.
